/* Excursions can be scheduled on demand */
Our Alum Creek Excursions depart from the Howard Road Boat Launch and journey north past the shale cliffs and to the osprey platforms at the north end of the reservoir, just before it turns back into a small creek. Osprey are birds of prey that spectacularly fish by dive bombing straight down in the water to catch fish in their talons. The platforms were built by private citizens several years ago to encourage their continued habitation of the reservoir. Round trip, this excursion is 5 miles and should take between 2-3 hours depending on wind. Bring a water bottle and calories to burn!
